Favorite Playgrounds: South Russell Village Park | Cleveland Family Photographer and Filmmaker
My kids LOVE playgrounds. And climbing. And jumping off of everything. And while they often try to turn our home into a ninja warriors course, it still doesn't compare to an actual playground. We have been to MANY playgrounds in Northeast Ohio. We (they) cannot resist finding new playgrounds to explore.
Since we are self-declared playground experts, I thought I could share our knowledge and provide a list of our top playgrounds in the area. Kid tested and kid approved (photos for proof).
To start off the list, today I am going to give you the pros and cons of our current favorite playground, the Wood Playground in South Russell Village Park. It is right past Chagrin Falls and there are two places to park here so make sure your map is taking you to the “Wood Playground.”
The pros:
Great for climbing!
Has an exciting obstacle course.
Fun circular “roller coaster” as my kids like to call it (they will be in for a surprise when they get on an actual roller coaster).
The playground is right next to beautiful grassy paths and hills to explore.
The cons:
There is not as much for a smaller child to play on since most of the activities rely on good climbing skills.
We love to come here to play. It is challenging for both my 3 and 5 year old, and they love that challenge. Our last visit was in the evening after dinner and we had the whole park to ourselves. It was so pleasant and a great way to spend an evening together.
Stay tuned for the next playground recommendation!
