The Perfect Light for Photo and Film Sessions | Cleveland Family Photographer and Filmmaker

Spring is coming! 45 days to be exact...

This winter has felt so very, very long. Cold weather + shorter days + well, pandemic. I am SO excited for spring time to come and to be able to get back outside! I am looking forward to pleasant outdoor playdates, spending time outside with my family and friends, and oh yes, spring photo sessions and films!

When it comes to planning your perfect session, there are few things we have to consider including location, what to wear, and what time of day to have the session. Today we will talk about the last one.

The best time for a photo or film session is in the morning when the sun is coming up, or in the evening when the sun is going down. The light is soft and beautiful at those times. Sunrise sessions tend to be great for families with young kids who, in the morning, are usually in their prime. The kids, I mean :). Adults, it’s only one morning! If you have older children, or young ones that like to sleep in later, an evening session after dinner might be perfect. Every family is different and runs on a different schedule (or no schedule at all, which is also fine!). I would love to work with you to figure out what fits your family.

When you are ready to schedule your film or photo session, we will work together to plan the perfect session for you!
