While most of you know that I am a family photographer, most people don’t know that I also take school portraits. It is something I have come to truly love because, well, kids are so cute! I have been doing all school portraits outdoors this year due to the pandemic and it actually makes for a very nice, relaxed atmosphere for the kids, the teachers, and for myself. 

My school portraits are not like most. I take multiple photos of each child and really try to bring out their personalities. I then put 3-5 images (in both color and black & white) in an online gallery for parents to look through and THEN choose if they want to purchase one or many photos. I like this process a lot. It allows parents to be in control and they get to select their favorite photos instead of the photographer choosing for them. We all know our own kids’ fake smiles but it might be harder for a photographer to decipher which is a genuine expression. There is also the option to purchase digital files and to purchase digitals of your child’s whole gallery.
